Analysis paralysis is over-thinking. It’s analyzing a decision so much that you become “paralyzed” and end up not making a decision at all.
For writers, this can manifest as a dark and monstrous form of writer’s block, in which all the writing tips and advice and technical rules you’ve ever read join forces to wreck your confidence.
Think of it as a terrible symphony that plays in your mind, warning you of what will happen if you fail.
